The Perfect RV Road Trip Activities

Taking an RV trip is not just about exploring a destination, when you arrive there. It’s also about enjoying the entire experience, from the start of your journey to the very end! However, road trips can often be monotonous and exhausting, especially for kids and elderly friends and family members. Consider the different types of activities to break up your road routine, as well as keep your family entertained and relaxed on your trip.

Here are some fun games and activities to explore, while riding in your RV!

The License Plate Game

The license plate game is popular among both kids and adults. While you won’t need any props to play it, you can still ensure maximum excitement! The game is played by splitting your family into different groups and letting each hunt license plates on vehicles on the road around you.

You can choose to look for license plates registered for each state, the state that’s farthest or nearest from yours, or any specific state to get started. All your players will need is to remain vigilant and collect details of as many license plates as they can. You can also set a timer to make the game more challenging!

The Movie Plot Game

If you are bored of playing standard charades, you can give the movie plot game a try. Tell one player to think of a movie they have seen. Then, they can narrate the storyline to the rest of your team without revealing the movie's name or the lead characters. The idea is to describe the plot without disclosing too many details and letting the others guess the movie. The more bizarre the guesses get, the more fun you will have with your game!

The Word Association Game

The word association game is a wonderful blend of creativity, mental alertness, and focus, ideal for multigenerational families and friends on vacation. Plus, you can have as many players play it as you want!

To start the game, tell one player to pick up a random word while the remaining team members pick a related one. For example, if the first member has chosen the word “school”, others can try to pick a few associated words like students, teachers, or books. However, if someone says a random word that doesn't fit - they lose a point and the game is over.
