Types of Luxury RVs

Almost invariably, luxury RVs tend to be motorhomes, so they are all-in-one forms of accommodations and transportation. You won’t need a towing vehicle with these campers. Motorhomes come in Class A, Class B, and Class C subtypes.

The most common luxury RV is typically a Class A motorhome, which is built on a bus chassis and can be anywhere from 29’ to 45’ long. These motorhomes tend to be the most homelike, with full-sized kitchens and bedrooms, spacious living rooms, and full bathrooms. A luxury Class A motorhome may be anywhere from $60,000 to $600,000, depending on its size and features.

Class B motorhomes are more compact and range between 18’ and 24’ in length, so they’re good for travelers who want to visit lots of attractions with cramped parking lots and travel on narrow mountain roads. These van-style luxury RVs are equipped with many of the same upgraded features as their bus-style counterparts, just in a smaller profile. A luxury Class B motorhome can be anywhere from $40,000 to $200,000.

Class C motorhomes are built on a truck chassis and are anywhere from 21’ to 41’ long. They have a separate cab and a small alcove over the cab for an extra bunk or storage. Class Cs also tend to be easier to drive than Class As and they can be a good in-between size. You can anticipate spending anywhere from $50,000 to $200,000 on a Class C luxury RV.

The amenities you want can potentially increase or decrease the cost of the luxury RV you get. These are some of the features that tend to add to the total price tag, so you’ll want to budget extra for them:
